Isaiah Specks & JT Williams Seniors on the Rise Class of 2015

Isaiah Specks 6'5 F/G and J.T. Williams 6'0 PG members of our STE Men's Varsity Basketball defending TAPPS 3A State Championship Team are receiving interest from colleges throughout the state and a few out of state universities as well. Isaiah and JT have both been accepted to Texas Lutheran University and received offers to play for TLU Men's Basketball Team http://tlubulldogs.com/.

Isaiah also has received interest from the following schools:

Austin College, Southwestern, Texas A&M Commerce, St Edwards, Cameron University, University of Dallas & Hobart College.

J.T. Williams has received from the following schools as well:

Rhodes & Southwestern

Isaiah & J.T. are both expected to make their decision later this year.

STE 2014-2015 Basketball Season

Parents,

As you all know, the basketball season starts in earnest on Monday when Coach Twine has the first official basketball practice. I know that the boys are ready to get started with their defense of the State Title. I am sending this email to give everyone a heads up about a few things that we will be doing throughout the season.

We have an opportunity to get the program some additional statewide exposure that would great for the team. We would like to put an advertisement in the JD Mayo Full Court Press magazine. The JD Mayo Magazine focuses on High School Basketball throughout the state of the Texas. The team would get a 2 half page advertisements in the magazine. If we purchase the advertisement we would receive 50 magazines that we could sell to raise money for the program. The cost for the advertisement is $500. The cost breaks down to about $40 per player. Everyone that makes a donation would receive one of the magazines as a keepsake. We need to make a decision pretty quickly on if we are going to purchase the advertisement so please send me an email if you are interested in participating.

Last year we tried to increase the revenue generated by the program by expanding some of the offerings in the concessions stand and by having the concessions stand open during every home game. However, to do that we need volunteers for the concessions stand to work. We want to do an even better job of working the concessions stand to raise money for the program this year. Therefore, we will be looking for volunteers to work the home games at STE. All the money raised at the games directly benefits the program so it is an easy way to hop the program become better. If we are commit to volunteering it will burden much lighter for everyone. Also, there will be opportunities to donate items to be sold in the concessions stand. If you know that you can not work in the concessions stand making a donation would really help the program as well. I think that you will see some benefits for the team this year that are a direct result of the hard work that parents put in last year.

Sometime in the next couple weeks I will send out a signup sheet regarding the concession stand volunteer opportunities and the donation opportunities.

Please let me know as soon as possible if you are interesting in donating to the JD Mayo Full Court Press advertisement.
