2013
Hrncir competed in ten meets during his junior campaign, placing in the top 10 in five of them including the Tapps State Championship where he finished second on the team with a 9th place finish. Because of this, Hrncir was named to the Tapps First Team All State Cross Country Team and the All-State Academic Team.
2012
During his sophomore season at STE, Hrncir competed in eight varsity meets placing in the top 20 on four occasions. At the Katy Faith Hills Invitational, Hrncir ran to a 14th-place overall finish with a 5K time of 17:58 his fastest of the season.
2011
During his freshman season at STE, Hrncir competed in ten varsity meets running his best time of the season at the St. John's Ramble where he placed 27th overall with a 3 mile time of 17:52.
PERSONAL
Matthew Hrncir is the son of Stephen and Kristine Hrncir of Houston, Texas, and is the third of four children: David, Michael and Joel. Hrncir plans to major in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin.
