Biography:

2013

Graves competed in ten meets during his junior campaign, placing in the top 5 in six of them including the STE's Home Meet where he lead the team with a 1st place finish and a personally placing 3rd running his fastest time of the season - 17:31 on the 5K course. Graves was named to the All-State Academic team by placing 11th at the TAPPS State Championships. 

2012

During his sophomore season at STE, Graves competed in eight varsity meets placing in the top 10 on two occasions. At the TAPPS State Championship, Graves ran to a 9th-place overall finish with a 5K time of 18:29.  For his finish at the State Championship, Graves was named to the TAPPS First Team All State Cross Country.

2011

During his freshman season at STE, Graves competed in nine varsity meets running his best time of the season at the TAPPS State Championship where he placed 21st overall with a 3 mile time of 17:56 becoming the 5th man for the team and helping them secure the 3rd State Championship. 

PERSONAL

Benton Graves is the son of Alysa and Duane Graves of Houston, Texas, and is the oldest of three children. Graves plans to major in Engineering at  the University of Texas at Austin.
