Background
Bret Ramsey is in his 10th year at the helm of the STE Cross Country program. During his tenure, STE has won 5 State Titles (4 mens' cross country titles, and one women's cross country title) and individual runners have earned a total of eleven championships, including four in the 800 meters, three in the 1600 meters, three in the 3200 meters at the TAPPS Track and Field Championships and one as the individual Cross Country State Champion. Throughout his 12-year career as a high school head coach, Ramsey has built programs that win for the Greater Glory of God.
Ramsey led his STE cross country teams to 26 team titles and has brought STE to the brink of a State championship with four TAPPS runner-up state trophies. His student-athletes have earned 33 cross country First Team All-State honors and numerous All-State Academic honors.
While his list of accomplishments as a cross country coach at STE is long, his record as a track coach is just as impressive, with a pair of Regional Championships and one district title.
The 2013 Saints placed 2nd for the Men and 3rd for the Women at the Tapps State Cross Country Championship this past year.
A 1995 graduate of Texas A&M University, Ramsey earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics with a minor in History.
Ramsey and his wife, Andrea, have five children, Thomas, Marie-Therese, Felicity, Isabel and Clare.
